I'm looking for a place locally that carries 5.11 LBE vests. They are priced decent. but I want to try one on first. I have seen in reviews they run bigger than sized so I want to know the fit before I lay down the dough. Anyone know of a place?

I'm in Neve's about once a week haha. they stock a lot of 5.11 but usually never the items I really want to try on. And I went by precinct and they have 10 of them. All black, all in regular size. I'm a big dude and regular will not fit me.

I don't want to ask either place to order in the other two sizes just so I can figure out which fits me. Seems like a waste of their money to me. I was hoping I could find another place I hadn't thought of.

I guess I should have mentioned I had already been to those two stores.

Up in erie MIGHT have what you're looking for, they opened their retail business a couple of months ago and I know they sell 5.11 tactical stuff.

I like the blown nylon mesh that makes up the body of the vest. And the way it adjusts for girth seems to give it more coverage around the sides. I was thinking the mesh would work well in the summer months.

I called them up this morning and they have two of the three sizes in store. Looks like I'm making a trip to Erie.
