Thank you Dan and yes I am OK, so is the house. I was finally let back in about 30 minutes ago. Was kicked out of the neighborhood around 3 or so as I live on Burning Tree Trail right where the fire started. Rumor has it that it was one of my neighbors kids three or four houses down who started it and that is all I'm going to say about that.


I was one of the first to be let back in so much catching up with others as to what actually happened needs to be done. Right now I am ready for a BEER!!!

Can still see about a dozen or so small fires about 1500 yards from house glowing!

Thanks Carl and lets pray for no more fires up there or down here! As suspected fire started near 8425 Burning Tree Trail 3 houses down from me (or left of the barn in the first photo). I am the last house on the end before the open space park but here are some picture I tool at around 12:30pm when the fire first started just before we were ordered to leave. The picture of the barn is my next door neighbors bard just to the west and it started two more houses over to the west. Blew mainly north with the 40mph winds we has at the time but when the cold front came in this afternoon it switched around and blew east then back south and south east! Holy crap. Good luck down there, it appears as if your neighbor is going to be in some trouble. Just by looking at the pics of course.

Hope today brings better weather for the guys and gals on the line. From what I could see on the news yesterday they were working their butts off trying to stop this thing. And that chopper pilot was doing an amazing job. What a performance!

Being an ex-cop I make fun of firefighters often...good-naturedly, of course. But when something like this happens I'm really glad someone chose to do that job.
