Default Plans for my new build. Need some input

I've built two rifles so far, and both of them have performed well but I haven't been totally happy with them. I'm looking to build an all around gun thats capable of 600yrds with great accuracy thats in a smaller package to use for small game hunting, target shooting and possibly some gun matches in the future. Here's what Im planning for the major components of the rifle.
    Noveske upper/lower
Noveske 16" ss barrel (cant decide on on the lightweight profile or the recon)
DD M4A1 RIS II in DE
    AAC 51T Brakeout Comp
    Chrome BCG or Noveske BCG
    Bill Springfeild Tuned trigger
KNS anti rotation pins (from my understanding they reduce wear on the lower, need some input on this)
    VLTOR A5 Emod Kit

I already have a Hi-Lux CMR optic that I'll use until more funds become available

Well, since you asked for opinions..... Sounds like you are on the right track to me. I have a set of the KNS pins and I like them. I doubt you could really ever wear out a lower receiver where the pins go just by shooting the rifle but I do find the pins themselves to have a very smooth finish that seems to make the trigger pull a little smoother. I am thinking of putting an 18" barrel of some sort on my next build.

I have a noveske recon barrel and really like it, although I never used the lightweight barrel, maybe heating issues?

One question on the DD RIS II, why? are you attaching a 203 to the bottom? I have a DD Lite and it is great. either way it looks like it will ber a great shooter.

    Good luck

I'm pretty sure sure I'm gonna go with the recon barrel since the lightweight is only 6oz heavier, and the lightweight will probably wear faster. I wanna use the RIS II just to try it out, and also being able to remove the lower part of the rail would be nice. I currently have a DD lite rail and its a pain in the ass to take that thing off to clean dirt from inside the rail.

Just say no to the trigger job. If you want a light trigger get a 2 stage. RRA makes a decent kit for a decent price and the geiselle can be had for a decent price. Otherwise you can spend the money on the Springfield and spend the money again on a good trigger.

600 yds with a high degree of accuracy with an AR an be tough with even a 24" bull barrel. So you want that from a 16" lightweight barrel. Those are conflicting desires IMO. Also, you will be wanting a high end light pull weight competition trigger to try shots of that distance.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

Anyone that thinks war is good is ignorant. Anyone that thinks war isn't needed is stupid.
