Interesting since Winny only rates them at 1250 at the muzzle.
Hot loads with a 240 grain bullet are close to 1600ft/sec at the muzzle
That is 832 vs. 1364 ft/lbs of energy.... HUGE difference in felt recoil and energy on target.
Even at 1400ft/sec and 1044ft/lbs of energy they are no slouch, but could be hotter.
Even small velocity differences at these velocities translate to big number changes in the big bore stuff.
