I thought the fine was way too low, and for partially the wrong reason- they should be sued for violating the 2A rights of every student!
x20 that amount should get their attention... what good are text messages against an active shooter, when you're in a "gun-free zone"?
ETA: I applaud the authorities for seeking the maximum penalty for waiting over 2 hours to notify students of any emergency...
