Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.), ...projected the most confidence of anyone who took the podium on Wednesday that gun-control legislation could pass. She said many Republicans want to support her bill, which would outlaw the sale or transfer of clips that hold more than 10 rounds, but that they’re afraid to put their names on the legislation.
“When the assault weapons ban was in place, and the large magazines were off the table, we didn’t see these kinds of mass killings,” McCarthy said...
