Default ATF removes devices woman 'inherited' after man's death

I don't think their is a solution to this if you find Class 3 stuff.

Basically a Blackforest woman inherits property and finds two shotguns — one of them fully automatic — a short-barrel AK-47 and a short-barrel AR-15 and some grenades.

As long as they have a stamp, you should be able to transfer them to yourself. I thought you could anyway.

EDIT: Yeah, article says none of them were registered, nothing to do in that situation.

A few years ago when I lived in Louisiana I came home to find our street blocked off. New owners were renovating the house across from mine and came across a stash hidden in the floor of the attic by a previous owner... Several WWII era fragmentation grenades, a couple of land mines, booby traps, an M2 grease gun and a few other items of the really fun stuff. The bomb squad came out from Barksdale AFB and hauled it off for destruction at their facility.

Moral of the story: I bought the wrong house on that street.

Lawyer can set you up a trust that gets your estate, and your last will and testament will control what happens to it.

    Good question...
    So I have a class 3.
I have not made a will, since by Colorado law my wife is automatically my heir.
God forbid I croak, does she get the class 3 gun?

Probably not. From what i understand it will go through probate court. Becuase of this i am in the process of putting all my stuff in different personal property trusts with me as the trustee and my wife as the beneficiary. Read about personal property trusts by Lewis Brown.
