Right on! Luckily he only had to go in waist deep. I had to do the same to save my dog, and could easily have died. It was one of the stupidest things I've ever done, but there's no way I could sit and watch my dog drown in a frigid lake.

Very cool story. I'm glad someone brave enough to help the dog out was there, sweet that is was a cop. It seems that only bad stories about cops get reported.
