    Default S&W 15-22 replacement springs

Have any of you sent your .22 back to Smith for new blue springs? Just curious if the new springs made any difference.

When did the RMGO logo AR get the UBR? Sorry, just noticed it...

Haven't had to send mine it as yet. There have been no issues but if your having problems all you need to do is contact them for the upgrades.

Mine was one of the new ones that already had the blue springs.

I have heard of a number of folks that said it did make a difference once they got it back.

You can also buy these springs aftermarket from a number of places and just do it yourself, no down time that way.

Do you know where to get them?

Most folks on the S&W forum in the M&P 15-22 sub forum are using the Yellow J P Enterprises springs with very good success.

    Hope this helps

Thanks. I thought you meant people were getting the facotry blue springs somewhere. I have not had any issues yet but have only put ~150 rounds through mine.

    No problem.

The factory "blue" springs are just lighter and are bent different. The yellow JP springs are supposed to be better.

Thanks for the link-I may get them just to have them on hand. Like newracer mine's really not even broken in yet.
add on-I thought the springs in question were for the BCG ?

I have actually thought about putting in a whole new 2 stage trigger. Maybe I'll just try this first.

I never had any problems with my pre-blue spring 15-22. Then the extractor blew out ( def. Not because of the spring) sent it back and they threw in a blue spring. Havent fired it yet since i got it back. Guess I need to remember to take it to the range next time.
