Default Has Anyone Done Business With

Devil Dog Armory ??? I am thinking about doing business with him. His card says AR-15 Specialist. I have the whereforall to get me an AR and have started looking. He says he can build me one. I have looked at them at the last gunshow, but didn't really have a chance to talk with anyone selling them due to the crowd...

    what Internet Said..

we have some really good guys in here from Stock builders, custom Builders to full blown metal shop gunsmiths

I have heard nary a negative peep about any of them.

I personally have used and or visited Internet, BPTactical, Bowers Tactical, Machine gun tours to name only a few.

And I trust Bert (BP tactical) With my weapons and my Kid...

I've seen some seriously jacked up builds over the years. It all comes down to quality of the builder, parts, and tools. Any of the three fall short and you suffer. This is true with any gun build. You deal with an unknown builder, you roll the dice.

Take the advise of someone who entrenched in the local shooting community and deal with BP or Bowers for an AR build. When they give you advise on the build, take it. I have yet to hear or see anything to tarnish their reputations.

In all sincerity though on behalf of all the IP's Thank You for the support of the COAR15 community. You guys (And gals) are the best!

To the OP- I have no personal experience with the entity named nor have seen anything they have done.
Although assembly of an AR platform is pretty straightforward and it can be done on the kitchen table, it needs to be done CORRECTLY. As said in a prior post, a build is only as good as the individual that is wielding the tools.
Are they local and if not what are you going to do if there is a problem with the build? All the money you "save" will be for naught if you have to send the rifle back and wait a month or more.

I'll join in here with "use our local guys". I'm currently doing a build and so far have used Machine Gun Tours for my lower and Bowers is helping with upper. I also wouldn't hesitate to use BP for any other gun work. Great vendors and lots of great info from them.

I have dealt with BP Tactical and Bowers Tactical. I have no issues with either of them and would recommend contacting them.

Just make sure you bathe, brush your teeth and possibly run a comb through your hair first. A box of candy won't hurt either.

    I would recommend BP Tactical.

But, putting an AR together is a pretty simple task, as mentioned by others. But, for cutting, threading or any real smith work, I would use BP Tactical.
