My thought process:
That's really cool..... why hasn't somebody thought of this yet..... wait that chit's gonna be pretty damn expensive..... might be a little too expensive/unconventional to take off..... I really wanna buy a box...... gonna be impossible to reload those......

My thought process:

With the bullets landing sideways into the targets the penetration can't be very deep. In fact I wonder if it will even defeat heavy clothing (think leather jacket- even some premier hollow points have trouble there). If they landed true with the odd shape penetration will still be an issue due to yawing.

I am interested in where this goes though in its development.

Wasn't there handgun and rifles bullet developed that had multiple projectiles that were lined end to end... At least the 303 and 30-06 green tip multiball rings a bell.

My buddy said they should be available pretty soon; I guess the patents went through on them, so they're getting close to release. As I get more info, I'll post it up.

Recipes for three ball in 45-70s were common. Contractors made them up until 1917. From what I have read, they were not the best for accuracy and were used for guard duties.

Being hit by three 400g lead balls had to hurt.

I won't hold my breath in this new stuff.

I remember a few years ago (ok maybe 20) reading in Guns and Ammo or something about guys homebrewing multiprojectile rounds in .357 cases using 3 or 4 "tuna can" bullets over ~5gr of Unique. I wanna say the total bullet weight was around 180g, with a muzzle velocity of 800fps, and reasonable grouping out to 15 yds or so.
