In Europe, almost every single .22 rimfire pistol/rifle made there has ½" UNF thread for silencer, it is nothing srange in Greece.
Aluminium silencer will last on AR-15 thousands of rounds and with little steel reinforcement 5-number amount of shots. Full-auto applications separately...

I had alu AR-15 silencer for hunting. Worked nicely for that purpose because it was so lighweight, but prevented my ears ringing after couple of shots without hearing protection

IMHO about all of gun laws in US, silencer thing is strangest. Allright, you can use it as a hammer and break someones bones with big steel silencer... But, sorry I just can not see silencers otherwise as dangerous objects

It is something that was not covered as a right or liberty in the constitution, so we will tax the living hell out of you for it.
