yeah that's true, i guess wha i mean is a good lower that will last. i have no experience wih ar's but from an ak point of veiw if someone was going to sbr an ak receiver i'd advise at least a premium nodak as opposed to an economy model let alone a tapco flat haha

in other words what are some decent stripped lowers out there that at the same time wont make my wife cry when i tell her what i spent on it haha

if you put tape over the mfg name you would be hard pressed to tell the difference. UNLESS it is one of the higher end billet or high quality finished ones. I have owned numerous lowers over the years and never was concerned with the mfg name, more so the cost to buy it.
Remember it is only a chassis like building a car. it is what's inside that counts. outside of the H,T,S moving all action and pressure is in the upper receiver (ok i forgot the buffer) Which depending on what caliber you run there are different buffers. I run an Adams Arms piston on my SBR, however i also have a heavier buffer for my 10.5" 9mm upper.
for the spouse i did a light weight build using a CAVARMS poly lower stock buffer 16" gov profile bbl and some trigger work.
take a look at then if you stop by friday..

Ah ok that helps I am going to see how william snellings new lowers are and what he sells them for since I'm up around scottsbluff today but other than those I might as well go over to bear arms and get a rock river. I was thinking about it and even if I ordered in a cheaper stripped lower I'd then have to pay shipping and a transfer fee so I'd be paying about what they are selling their rra's but for a cheaper receiver. Though are rock rivers pretty nice or would I mainly be paying for a name? Oppinion is fine but I'm looking more for the facts. Also I'm not really interested in the ultimate cheapest option cause like I said a cheaper lower with shipping and a transfer will be close to if not about the same price as a rra from gary. Will a regular lower be fine or should I look into a billet lower? I like things looking nice but remember I'm originally an ak guy so I value strength and durability the most

Jim, you should give me another ar tutorial on friday, I really appreciate your upper tutorial you gave me last time I was over.

Oh and also william's website shows he has a 7.62x39 bolt in stock I might pick that up for the future as well

Good idea. I don't think you can go wrong at all with a Rock River Arms lower.

My RRA is as nice as all my others (SSA and spikes) besides the roll marks the only difference I see is that the RRA has a high shelf (at least mine does) the others are low shelf.

Try Bear Arms. They are in Windsor. You could always go to Jensens in Loveland too.
