    Default Another quake off Japan.

    A 7.4 magnitude earthquake has hit off the NE coast of Japan. Tsunami warning issued.

    they have quakes literally every day. they had 15+ aftershocks last month of 7+ magnitude within 24 hours.

    Too bad they don't hit just a little farther east, like Iran, etc.

    lots of 6.0-7.5 quakes are a good thing- they release the tension built up on the fault- when not enough slips (quakes) occur, then you get the 9.0+

    and wishing one upon Mexico?

    yeah, that's what we need, millions of refugees looking to us for places to live...

    Iran is also in a seismic area of the earth. they record daily earthquakes, just nothing that powerful.

    No tsunami alerts issued for HI, West Coast so it should be ok. 6ft tsunami expected, a significant size down from a 10 meter one.
