    Default Ford's 'A & Z' Plan Pricing

    Hey all,

I can currently get 'X' plan pricing, but it only will save me around $1,025 on the purchase of the vehicle I want. Is there a way I can get 'A & Z' plan pricing by someone giving me their code. Is this even allowed?

If you have to be a relative, you can say we're 'Brothers in Arms' [roll]
I'm just trying to save a few more bucks.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

IF you know the exact VIN of the vehicle you want, you can go to a Fleet Manager and most likely get a better price.

So far, Fleets been the guys I've talked to for pricing, much easier to work with. No walking back & forth between the managers office with offers.

Sometimes getting a new vehicle can be a PITA [poke]

I hate to be the one who tells you this, but those sales guys going back to the sales manager's office...nothing happens there. Coffee perhaps, a few laughs at customers....they are playing a sales game which involves making you wait to become more open to suggestion to close a deal by getting sick of waiting.

    Try this:
Get a MSRP/Invoice list from www.NADA.com for your specific model
also get the lists of the options prices.

Go to the dealer...finding a salesman will be easy.

Have them find a model you want with the options you want....better yet if it has options you didn't want too.; they will try to upsale you, this is good.

Now get out your notes and make a list of the invoice price plus all the options you wanted, don't include the ones you didn't want. Don't include the stuff on the sticker like; dealer prep...handling...delivery, etc., etc., etc.

Total it all up and remove 1-10%..this will be your initial offer.

Oh yeah, Invoice is not what the dealer paid for the vehicle. MSRP is what the dealer would like to sell it for.

The way most salemen are paid in the auto industry by commision is this way; they have a "Nut" or a price they need to sell for to break even. Off this "Nut" price the salesman get a comission...say $200. Anything over the "Nut" and the salesman get a percentage of the overage. So lets say a car has a $20,000 "Nut" and sells for $23,000. That's $3000 over what they needed and they give the salesman say $200 plus 5% of the $3000 making a total commision of $350.

The "Nut" on most vehicles is below invoice price.

My advise...don't get sold on one particular dealer or vehicle. Someone will be hungry and want the sale....oh, yeah, 1st thing on a weekend moring and there is usually and extra comission for 1st sale for the salesman.....let them get the extra comission from the dealer instead of you.

My last new truck...I spent 7 hours negotiating at the dealership, a total of 13 hours there...I'm also in sales....I knew it was just gonna take time.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
