    Default Virgin Skin......

Can anyone recommend a good place to get some ink? I have been looking for a place around the Castle Rock area and found a place called White Lotus Tattoo. This would be my first tattoo (I have one designed) so of course I want someone good to do it.
My determination to not strike the first blow, but also to not stand mute and allow myself, and all that I believe in and stand for, to be trampled by men who would deprive me of my God-given, or natural right to suit my own end.

Jim the owner isn't taking appointments till June contrary to the web site, but short of the new guy they have, all the guys have put out seriously good tattoos. The site has pics.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

A tattoo is a permenant reminder of temporary insanity. I got a couple and wish I didn't.
I got one of mine at a place on South Broadway just a little North of Hampden on the West side of the road in a house turned into a business. I can't remember the name of it but they sucked. The tattoo was okay but they over charged and he acted like he was some kind of god instead of a tattoo artist. It was years ago but I can still remember wanting to kick his punk ass.

Ask for Nik, he's my nephew formerly an apprentice of ours many decades ago. he was working at Phantom 8 on south broadway in englewood then got together with some other artist from other well known studio's to open his own place this year. if you get him or have to leave a message tell him Uncle Jim from up north told to call.

Whether it be Nik or someone else, i suggest you look at their portfolio and ask questions. A good artist is only part of the equation. You must feel comfortable with them and be able to click. A tattoo is permanent and the commitment last a life time. Also see how current their training is if any regarding blood-bourne pathogens and cross contamination. Do they do single use needle and tube (not a necessity) providing their autoclave is working correctly, but single use is or has become the norm. Are their work areas clean, double glove during the work. do they remove their gloves if there's a phone call for them etc......
