    Awesome picture...thanks for sharing it.

We had several foxes that hung around the property a few years ago. We really enjoyed watching them. Of course, the foxes drive the Terriers nuts.

I don't know about Beagles, but a healthy Jack Russell is a pretty fair match for a fox. Coyotes are a different story, for sure. We keep pretty close tabs on the JRs when they're running loose.

We found a fox who'd been hit by a car taking refuge in our barn. Poor guy's back was broken and all he could do was drag his hind-end around. I had to shoot it and I almost would've rather shot myself. I didn't sleep for about 3 days...his face reminded me of one of my dogs.

Very cool pic, foxes are neat animals. It reminds me of these two (male and female) red foxes taking up shelter in a storm drain across the alley from my work years ago. They got used to seeing us humans after a while and would come to within 4 or 5 feet of us. They would play and chase each other around as though they knew they were pure entertainment for us. The male would act like he was playing tag with us sometimes. He would run up all fast and then quickly stop right in front of you for a couple seconds then take off like you were going to get him (even though we never moved).

Then one morning we were loading our trucks and we seen the female pacing back and forth and the male was gone. I'm guessing he got hit by a car because of the heavy traffic near by. She stayed for another day or two and then she took off. I don't think I could kill (unless I had to of course) something that can have that kind of personality and relationship with people. I've hunted deer and game birds before so I'm not a tree hugging animal rights freak or nothing like that. But these foxes were like two super hyper, intelligent dogs that were funny as hell sometimes.

We still have a bunch of reds on post. A few years ago I had to walk around the the Hospital at 5am and when I got to the front lawn there was a family playing in the fresh snow. I stopped and watched for 10 min. They would get about 15' away but it was quite a sight seeing them playing in the snow.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.
