Default Picked up two new rifles

They just need a little work before I can send some rounds down range.

No roll marks? Who were they made by? Have you already planned out what type of rifles you are going to build?

Most of the roll marks are on the other side. They are just basic Spike's Tactical lowers.

As far as the plans I have for them one of them is going to probably end up with a stainless 16" barrel with a mid-length gas system in .223 Wylde. Probably just put some OD green Magpul furniture on it and keep it simple.

The other will most likely be built into something to use at the 1000 yard range at my gun club. Beyond that I have no idea. I will probably wait until later in the year to start on this one anyways.

    Nice.

I just finished my 16" I'm going to have the wife take some photos for posting. She is the only one in the family who can take pictures without toes showing up in the bottom of the frame.

I was thinking about something in the 20" to 24" for my second lower. I go back and forth between a 600+ yard shooter or a retro A1 setup.

It just struck me as funny that you got two lowers. I guess it is pretty common to build in pairs.

I'm not actually going to build them both at the same time. It's just that I know I am going to build at least two more and since rounding up the lower involves filling out paperwork and doing the background check I figure I would just save myself the hassle of doing that twice by buying them both at the same time. I nearly bought a third one at the same time but I really don't have any plans for three more builds..... yet.

-Looks like a 6.5G build with a 24" barrel to get max performance out of the cartridge.
