I'm not sold on the screw tightening method. Both methods have can mess up.

The AMD-65 went in real smooth last night. I have a JEGS 12 ton press and it wasn't straining at all. I used dark cutting oil as lube and lightly dressed the edges. I lurked on the sites long before I started my building. One problem with pressing can be a bad support for the trunnion. If the force down isn't even it can get bad real fast. I was using the AK Front Trunnion Press Fixture from gunthings. It gave a solid support to both sides of the trunnion and the press went straight. I had a piece of round brass slightly smaller in diameter than the outside of the barrel so I could see what was happening. My two concerns were the press getting off center or using too much force but neither happened.
