We used to play steal the bacon as a tackle game, Smear the Queer, flag football ALWAYS turned physical, same with soccer. It just wasn't a good game if people weren't getting tackled, their eyes poked, and if at least one person's shirt was torn and/or someone was bleeding, then it was a good game. I don't get what is the point of letting our kids grow up in a bubble? When I have kids, they're going to be no stranger to physical contact.
