went and took a look at the new mustang drag car today, salesman says the sheet that came with it says it weighs 3200 pounds, and run's low 9's high 8's at sea level, but you know how salesman are.... chassis is nhra certed to 8.50 i'm not a ford guy but it is pretty sweet. but bidding starts at 125k so i'm out...

Some salesman alright, car runs low 11's (car&driver mag test at sea level) and are presold at 75k. Heavy optioned could hit 95k

If you get the parts from the Ford Performance catalog to go with it you could realistically have a 9 second car according to them.

Probably collectors will snatch em up and stick em in storage.

There are a few on YouTube running 9's and one cracked off a high 8 I'm saying the h.p. Of the motor is underrated by ford If no changes were made after they picked it up.

We race extensively You gotta pay the 125k to go fast. (I go 6.96 at over 200 at Bandimere)
build alot of cars so the HYPE has alot to do with the sales pitch.
