Are those gamma lids really worth it? Do they just make opening/closing the buckets easier? Also, any places in the springs for getting wheat or oats in bulk?

Whole foods has or can get you bags of winter wheat berry's. I have been storing popcorn from sam's cub for 2 or 3 years now in the big 5 gallon water bottles. So far looks good. Popcorn makes really good corn bread. and can strech out the wheat flour for less than a third of the price of wheat berry's. $16.?? for 50 lb bag IIRC.
Thanks! I'm going to have to try that, I'm almost addicted to cornbread!
Anyone have a local source for mylar bucket liners? Got some extra to trade??
Where do you get the mylar bucket liners in the springs. And the question about oats you can pick up 9 lbs boxes of quick oats at Sam for around $6
I've seen thin and thick mylar liners. Thick are expensive, but do they work better? Or is it a matter of thicker film leading to pin holing easier when you stuff it in the bucket (bending the liner)?
This is my first post, and why isn't the cop car emoticon a Firebird instead of a Camaro?![]()
Yes, you will need a very good grain mill for the hard popcorn. I tried the hand crank grain mill once. Then I sold it and bought a electric one. I have solar power at my mountain hideout.
