    Jewell, Timney and Jard are all 1st rate components. The nice part about them is they are plug and play, minimal tuning.
    If you don't want to chunk out that kind of cash the Rock River is a decent setup and J&P makes a nice trigger set but you may have to time the disconnector and trim the safety leg.
    Stock triggers can be cleaned up as Spliefy noted, I do them regularly but you really have to be careful, they are only casehardened and you can cut through to soft steel easily.
    Crisp breaking single stage is possible with stock stuff.
    What is your intended use for the rifle? If you are looking at serious target/varmint work then the drop ins such as Jard, Giessel etc may be worth the money.
    If it is going to be a SHTF/Zombie rifle then you can spend your money elsewhere more effectively.

    Thanks for the feedback. I'm somewhat leaning toward the Jard trigger at this point. Bad trigger pull = Bad scores, so my priority is function over $$s.
