    Default Camping at Pawnee??

I tried searching but didnt find exactly what I'm looking for.

I want to go do some camping this coming Memorial weekend and want to head out to Pawnee somewhere.

Can you camp there? And more importantly can you have camp fires there?

If so, where can I go for this?

    Thanks

Al-x please let me know what you find out.

Gunner you are welcome to join us if we find a place.

Probably the most important thing that I didnt mention before, because I just thought it went without saying, is I WILL be doing A LOT of shooting so somewhere away from everyone else is needed.

    Thanks folks

I might have to pack up the bivvy and join you. Camping and lots of shooting sounds like a good weekend to me.

This pretty much sums it up. More like SHOOTING, and sleeping then MORE shooting, then some sleeping!!

Your welcome to join pal! I just hope we can find something that fits this bill.

Sent a text to my buddy. Usually he responds within a few minutes.

    Default camping at Pawnee

they do have a designated campground there, with picnic tables and firepits. It's in the SE corner of unit? 88 maybe. My maps are at home, sorry I should know this but obviously I don't remember. Whatever the closest unit is to Denver, the campground is in the SE corner of that unit.

I believe you should be able to camp anywhere on public land out there, but I'm sure there would be restrictions on open fires.

Thanks Robb, yeah I saw the stuff on the "camp sites" I am not looking to go camping at a designated camp site. I dont like being around a bunch of other(non shooters) people. I want to be able to roll out of the tent in the morning and start shooting!!

I would(and usually do) go camping up in the mountains but there is still a ton of snow up there right now.

    Thanks
