    Default The Fastest Reload....

Is a second gun! So said Jim Cirillo, famous NYPD Stake Out Squad pistolero, and my late friend. Borrowing from his thought process, my daily carry rig....

Twin S&W model 37 airweight .38 specials, with bobbed hammers, slicked up actions, and Hide Out Grips. They ride in the small of my back, nicely concealed under a loose jacket, in a Bell Charter Oak "New York Reload" holster. I carry a pair of Bianchi speed strips, with a reload for each gun in IHL speed strip dump pouches......More than enough firepower for any social encounter.

Forget about putting yourself in an arm lock to draw, looks like a full on sleeper hold.

Jim is famous in the shooting community, and from what little I've read, a good man, but I have to disagree. Fastest reload is a fast reload.

It is a nice rig though.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

Yeah...interesting, but I wouldn't carry that way. I learned the hard way why it's a really bad idea to carry a piece of steel over the lower back area.

    Default I carry a J frame but?

If your worried about needing ten shots, get a Glock 26. Easier to shoot, faster ten shots without swapping rigs, and it would cost a bunch less then two S&W J frames.
The New York reload is ancient cop stuff. Before light easy to carry, powerful, reliable pistols were common.
