This is exactly why I'm doing my own investigation today. I'm sitting at the bank right now getting detailed info on all these transactions and where they were made so I can talk to the managers at these places.

It's dependent upon which agency you are dealing with. Some believe they are too busy for that type of crime. Some do not. My former Metro area agency wasn't too busy and we took that type of crime seriously and tracked down the videos, tracked down suspects and made arrests. A L.E. buddy of mine from that agency was at the Colorado Springs zoo and a suspect stole his wife's wallet out of her purse on the child stroller and went on a spending spree. Colorado Springs PD was too busy to assist and told them to file a desk report, report it to their credit cards and the credit card companies would take care of it, reimburse, etc. While that may be eventually true, he wanted retribution and someone arrested!

That's the truth. I knew who broke into my house, told the cop. The asshole left his finger prints on the window, and still the cops didn't get him.

His girlfriend, (My womans best friend at the time) called me a couple years later to tell me yes he did it, they still had my stuff. Would I press charges against him because they are splitting up and she wanted a better shot at custody.

End of the story, karma got them both. He killed himself a couple years later, and she stroked out at the age of 30 because of her prescription drug problem. She's useless now and has no quality of life.

Too bad all thieves can't end up that way.

Use the work CC charges to your advantage. Can you get with her superiors and work with them on this?
The fact of a corporate card involved adds a dimension that may work in your favor.
