Must be the only one to carry a "Swiss Army" knife, the Ranger. As well as a old beat up Benchmade. Both have about 10' of 550 paracord attached, and a flint/steelattached to the Swiss Army.

I've only appreciated knives from afar until very recently. Until I've actually tried to use a knife to do something, I just had no idea what good qualities of a knife actually were. I'm thankful for this thread. It has shown me that all those crappy display case knives I bought as a tourist as a kid are utter junk. I have one $19 Cold Steel Tanto now that is more useful than all those others put together, and even that knife is crap compared to the stuff in this thread.

I've always just carried my leatherman. Never had much of a need for a Good Knife. A couple years ago I found a Spyderco on the side of the road near the house here. Looks like it was just lost off a car bumper or something, looks new.

I started carrying it and using it a few weeks back, and it's great to have a high quality knife that is easy access and sharp.

But I had an operator malfunction with it and needless to say it's sharp.

    DOH!

K-bar for a big knife. Though I want an ESEE or WETSU's new knife. I've had/own many but my big paws don't like small handles.

EDC is a beat to shit kershaw tanto half serrated that I've carried for over 5 years. When this one finally goes I've got it's twin NIB.

I also carry gerber 600 as often as possible. No swiss army knives anymore since i swore off non locker knifes after winding up with a handful of gnihcraes like fingers.
