Okay.
Why does the History Channel, Military Channel, movies, books, documentaries, and museums ALWAY call the 9mm German MP40 machine pistol a "SCHMEISSER"? Can't historians get something as simple as that right?
Just watching a 30 minute long show on the Military Channel specifically about machine guns and what do they do over and over again? They call the MP40 a Schmeisser. Even the Brit soldier interviewed on the show who was hit by one called it wrong. Damnit!
I've shot a few MP40s over the years and even a real Schmeisser, the MP18. No similarities at all. Way different look, operation, etc. Just a damn mistake that continually gets made over and over again.
Done ranting. Feel much better now. Now back to the economy, OBL, Global Warming, and the fact that I am out of Newcastle Brown Ale.
