I'm a Dish customer, so that hasn't been happening anyway. ;-)

I will likely putter around the house, as usual. I should have a new consulting gig starting up later this month. I'm going to rearrange my home office in preparation of that.

It's a novel virus that really kills elderly people. Just like people giving an active shooting a wide berth; their statistical risk doesn't mean their actions are unwise.

All the pundits do not have a crystal ball in the middle of any event. In this case, our medical capacity is quite limited. If too many people get sick at one time, then those critical cases (~10% of infections) will overwhelm the hospital system and a lot of people who were not in any risk of life will die.

Italian doctors, for instance, are having to make choices like removing intubation from 40 year olds in favor of 30 year olds. And only a fraction of the population is infected presently. The reality is our healthcare system is ill prepared for any tiny influx of cases of any kind. Even a 10% increase in normal hospitalizations can cause those kind of issues. Come fall and winter, those decisions might reach insanity (e.g. triage: Only save under 30). You guys can pull death stats for cancer all you want, but people don't suddenly all come into the ER and fill the beds, hallways, and tents with cancer or car accidents and share their cancer and accidents with doctors.

The statistical comparisons are outrageous and show many people here to have logical patterns that are no better, sometimes worse, than a typical progressive liberal fuckbag.
says the undocumented lawyer. Or should we add physician to that cv, as well ?

people get sick, people die. WE have no control over our fate, be it in a building @ 9/11 or some kids drop a cinder block off the overpass. Having read your post in the actual CV thread, you've waffled from not bad to .

FCS, its the flu, you can't stop it. It might be a little worse than we are used to. You can limit your own exposure and risk.
