The Great Kazoo's Feedback
"when you're happy you enjoy the melody but, when you're broken you understand the lyrics".
The story - "I was born a poor deprived black child...."
Or
"It was a dark and stormy night..."
Or
"With God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly"
This might be new:
When I had my foot rebuilt in the 90's I woke up when the bone saw blade broke & was wedged in my foot. They had to take the tool off the blade before they could pry it out. I was awake & aware but unable to move or speak for most of the procedure, but was finally able to mumble 'I prefer Hawaii' (with the little tube down the side of my mouth & whatnot) in answer to their on going conversation about vacation spots. Put me out right quick again they did.
No exaggeration.
Woke up during every one of my maxillofacial /dental surgeries too.
Last monday was the first time I was out the entire time, so I think. They also gave me some variation of ghb (or ?) so if I did wake, I wouldn't remember. Apparently it worked.

I've heard about people that respond that way to anesthesia. Paralyzed, but not 'out'. That has to suck.
I woke up toward the end of my Mortons Neuroma removal from my right foot. I said, "I can feel that." They replied, "Hang on. We're almost done."
I still can't believe I got a black eye from an IV stand falling over and the top of it hitting me under the eye while getting on the operating table for my spinal fusion. I get it. They're still 'practicing' medicine.
Liberals never met a slippery slope they didn't grease.

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.
