It definitely sucks, but I've done that multiple times. Luckily, my lightning fast reflexes always allow me to pull my foot back quickly. It will happen to me one day though. Probably why I'll never buy good quality knives lol.

I will NEVER cook barefoot again. Seriously. I had many near misses with dropping knives, etc. Lesson learned. I'll still whore like a motherfucker though.

Dropped a damn kitchen knife (a razor sharp one) on my big toe. Perfect hit man. I couldn't do it again in a million years.

Read that this morning, major bummer. Since you were in the kitchen with a sharp knife, couldn't you have just cut it off and cauterized it?
