Down here, I can drive about 13min to my local range and get a General Purpose 50yd range all to myself, or a spot on the pistol range, or a spot on the 200yd rifle range, or one on the 300yd range. Or, I can drive 13min to a canyon in the foothills and shoot in a wide open space with lots of other people who have no clue of what firearm safety is and what the line of fire is. I've seen people down range getting targets while 25ft over, someone is still shooting.
