I love gloating to chiefs fans. Not so much a fan of waiting at the VA though.
Well well well... Wifey made it through her CCW class and was the best shooter in the class! Not only that, she had a total blast, very exhausted but really had a lot of fun!
One guy next to me had a ND as he was trying to lower the hammer on his old Beretta (instructors requirements, if it had a decocker, use it before reholstering). The guy luckily was pointing the muzzle down and forwards, but it was still left and hit the ground 4-5ft in front of me. Needless to say, the entire rest of the day I was watching this guy EVERY when he was fumbling trying to reholster it. Had to remind him of his muzzle quite a few times as it started drifting towards me. The guy was also about 90 years old.
Instructor let me pick up the brass at the end, even had a few extra people help. Wound up with a 1gal paint bucket full of .45acp, 1gal full of .40s&w, 1/2 gal full of 9mm, couple hundred .380, couple hundred .38spl, and some misc rifle. Spent the past 2hrs sorting brass before cleaning since I hate when a 9mm gets stuck in a .40 case and media in between.
And wifey LOVES my M&P40c. And the instructors 4.5" XDM .45acp, granted I love that pistol too! I reminded her that it is probably a tad too big for a CCW, but we may look at the XDM in the compact size for her later.
Oh yea, one guy in the class was a chair force commander. I could tell right off the bat he had watched too many youtube videos. He looked just like Cory (range time with cory and erika on youtube), with his head ducked low, shoulders high (turtle) and was very elaborate with ALL of his motions.
Was shooting this huge Sig .40 that was all tactical and black (most likely the Seal's pistol) and kept having malfunctions. Was bragging about it saying it was better than Glocks and M&P's. His accuracy was horrible and my wife's was 10x better than his. He was funny to watch.
Oh yea, and wifey also is encouraging me to start reloading more so we can go to the range more often (said we don't go enough).
Well darn honey, if you force me to, I guess I'll allocate more money from our budget to buying primers, powder and bullets!![]()
