I've got big plans for my 22LR rifle and black friday. Will be zeroing it at 100yds and attempting for 200yd shots on varying target sizes. That is, assuming I can successfully zero the scope at 100yds with my desired amount of up adjustment left.

Lots of prep work needs to be done tomorrow though. Am currently writing up a list of every step I'll take with places to record values. Should be some great fun, I love tinkering with things!

Oh man, I just started craving a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup! And I can't satisfy that craving until I get home in the morning...

Add a small piece of aluminum from a soda can under the rear side of your scope base. It should give you an additional 10~ish MOA of elevation.
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

Thanks for the tip, thats the plan. I'm going to shim the rear scope base to give me +25moa (using math to get it exactly lol). Then I'll setup my Burris Signature Zee Rings at 0 Front, 0 Rear and set scope at 5moa from bottom (40moa total internal adjustment). That should give me the room to dial down the scope for shots closer than 100yds (50yds is 4" over, so I could just hold under 4" but with no reticle tick marks, that would be hard), as well as dial it up nearly 35moa for the 250-300yd shots that I want to attempt.

If it goes according to plan (which now that I said that, Murphy just decided he'll show up to the range on friday too), I should be able to use the scope ring inserts to change my total elevation from 5moa to 45moa (since they have total of 20moa adjustment, I can get rid of the shim cant or nearly double it as needed).

If, and I really mean if, I can get it setup this way, then I'll move to 100yds where POI=POA, and if that's true, then I'll go to 200yds and use my turrets and ballistics tables.

eta: I won't be using an alum can, I have some brass shim stock of various thicknesses I'll be using.

And my rifle is already capable of shooting sub-moa at 100yds, I shot a nice 3/4" grouping at 100yds on a friends target.

He couldn't get his the scope on his 30-06 zeroed, and so I showed him how it was done and put 3 shots in a 1" target dot, telling him that he's trying to get his impacts in the same place where I put my shots

Oh, and once I'm able to successfully zero the scope at my desired internal positions, I'll be moving out to various distances and will take pictures of my targets along the way.

Dude, just shim it in and then measure it with rounds on paper.
