    I've never tried killing a cold/flu with alcohol. Seems like a bad combination but if it works..

    use a humidifier, it really helps minimize the congestion and takes the edge off waking up with the sore throat.

    ^^^^ I've had several nurses and doctors tell me this! especially since moving here from a more humid climate.

    The alcohol constricts blood vessels, not the cure for headaches and achy body. Mix in some codeine, cherry syrup, metholdiamesomething or other, aspirin and you have homemade Nyquil.

    I had bronchitis really bad once and they gave me a half liter bottle of that shit. My family must have used that for five years to self medicate.
