I like your sorting process. I'm assuming manufacturers are consistent in producing cases with uniform thickness. That seems reasonable if the cases are similar vintage. One thing to consider...If you are cold working the brass a lot during reforming to 260, you could be getting some residual stresses in the case that will result in non uniform neck tension. Have you tried annealing?

Anywho, new brass seems the best way to go for your match.

Looking forward to the camera footage if you decide to post it.

Im too new to get annealing right the first time. It's getting crunch time and I need to spend my time dry firing, not learning a new technique to get it right. I've got some rounds loaded with a factory crimp to calm the ES as a band aid. I'm headed to the range to try and figure it out.

ill post the match footage, but it will be a private video (can't see it unless you have the specific link) like most of my videos.
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

And I might just throw some away since they take up so much space and I don't use them really.
I have about 20 empty Freedom Munitions boxes all over my bench that I use to sort .223 brass by head stamp for reloading. I have a lot of different head stamps and I don't know where they all came from... Either way, I have about 400 assorted cases that are ready for loading, but I need to agree on the load first, which means I need to go shoot some groups at the range.

Good morning bogie, HB and BC...Mazin, too if he's still here. And looks like Belly is on board now.

Not trying to be cryptic, just don't want to violate any protocols (??) . Ban hammer may still be swinging...(haha). He can search the list of names in middle the "J" section for starters.

Anyway, off to the MC Expo for the day. You guys have a splendid weekend.

I think I'll head over to Brighton and pick up some snack type shit for tomorrows BIG BRONCO VICTORY.. , and stop at Whitesides and get some new jeans and maybe some new work boots.

Magnum doesn't carry the model that I had anymore, at least Neves took both those other pairs back and refunded.

I'm not sure what the backstory is either, but he liked to test the limits. Sometimes it was okay, sometimes it wasn't.

I haven't reloaded anything for many weeks now. I've been wanting to shoot some stuff already made up, but weather is messing that up.

Don't want to load anything more until I see how that stuff does.

This is where I am too. I need to go test the loads I made, but this weather isn't very conducive to good range time.
