Do you still shoot pa-paw's .22 lever action? If not, then you can always benefit from better equipment.

    I'm back among living.

Triple health whammy in our family at the end of last week made for long, miserable, painful weekend.

I'll refer you to the Swanson Pyramid of Greatness. Specifically, to Teamwork and Greatness Itself.

FALSE. I have been offered several sponsorship deals, mostly of the low end of the totem: Half price, At-Cost, Etc. Things like that. Nothing big, nothing that fancy. Then they find out that I'm on orders and shooting for my unit and they realize I can't take the money AND be a sponsored shooter. My unit would punch me right in the huevos.

    Howdy Fellers.

Long day, striping another new car. Once I completed installing a 7 ft. circular decal up on the roof of the vehicle, I reinstalled a gps antenna, got distracted for a moment, then turned towards the edge to get on the ladder to get down.........and managed to drive my left knee directly INTO the 3 inch tall said antenna which is mounted quite stoutly. A few things happened at that moment, not the least of which was my knee telling me, convincingly, to fuck the hell right off....and still kinda is. ouch.

Glad you're feeling better Lobo, hope stuff on your front is okay, brother.

HB, you might not have seen some other posts I've made about my somewhat limited experience with scopes. I've openly admitted that I can use more time with my Nikon M-223, ($350) and plan to do so when it's mounted on a different rifle. The reasoning I've used in getting higher quality glass is based off of a few different things. One would be "old man" eyes, and another would be that I eventually plan to get a designated distance rifle in the somewhat near future. I'm buying some accessories for this AR 223, that will be transferred over to that new rifle whenever that time comes. One that is capable of shooting accurately at distances of over say, 1500 yards...on the equipment side of things.

The other side of the gun that actually makes it go *bang*, is a whole other story. That guy, has a lot of work to do, no matter what,...... but I'd rather be doing it with quality stuff. Is my new scope going to be more capable than I am right now? Yes, it is...and that is the challenge that I have provided for myself, and readily accept.
