Glad you got the plug out, Irving. I can't find the sockets I'm talking about so you can see what I mean...but they're knurled/curved in a reverse fashion, and have sharp "teeth" that drive themselves into the sides of the stripped bolt head. As you apply pressure to back the bolt out, the teeth dig into the damaged bolt head and it comes right out 99% of the time.

I can take a pic of them tomorrow, they're pretty neato.
I was going to take a pic of my set for you guys, went to the garage and there gone...Damn kids! Guess it's time to lock my crap up...

Woo hoo !....those rib eyes are really damn delicious. I snuck a few pieces while removing fat and cutting them up for the lunches.

Lobo, hope you had a grand time slingin' lead around with the wife this afternoon...hotter than Hades out there though. There are some really cool spiders/insects out there.

Brutal, I think 15K is too early. Even if you're just using 90 wt. hypoid w/friction modifier in the diff. Our fleets cars weigh 10,000 lbs and are severe duty, and get the shit beat out of 'em....and 25K on Trans/Diff changes is adequate. If you Diff(s) are synthetic, you're good up to 50K. IMO

I had a hard time finding those sockets on the interwebz for picture purposes, don't know why.

WD marathon still going strong....I think I'm a WD Whore too... ha!

Hopefully your tools aren't *gone*, Wax. Nothing pisses me off quicker than having lost some expensive tools.

Running Amok sounds fun, but I don't have the energy to run right now, and I'm not sure I have any Amok in the pantry.

Thanks, you're probably right and I'm being overly anal about it. 2004.5 2500 RAM Cummins.

It got changed by the Dodge dealer after the first break-in (15k?) and I've only got just under 45K on the clock. Most of that is running around 21K total. It's all synthetic and with the LS rear, has friction modifier in it. I change my oil on time (2x/year) and never hit the miles.

The trans fluid got changed when I put on a deeper pan with a bung for a temp sensor shortly around the same time and it's never cooked so that's GTG. The only thing I keep putting off is installing a larger rear diff cover with bung and temp sensor/gauge but now since Dipricol went out of business, my gauges wouldn't match and I'd have to buy all new.

So we blasted a $100 bucks in ammo and had a good time.

Wife was rusty and impatient (only to the range once in last 3 yrs, used to be every other week) but liked the new springs and trigger job on her revolver. New eye gear was to her liking as well. She even put a few mags thru the Glock, contrary to her "tupperware is for leftovers, I shoot stainless revolvers" snobery.

So now I gotta go finish some more of this service/repair work.

I think the youngest minion has potential to be an Amok as he gets his legs under him(been walking about 2 mos).

Somehow the wife thinks is this some influence from me.

Brutal, there's nothing wrong with being overly diligent about your vehicles fluids...just a matter of your time and money at that point. A maintained vehicle is a happy one, for sure.

10 to 15 K is kind of a standard for break in period. It's not a good idea to use any engine oil additives during that time btw.

Hell, I hope Roberth is doing alright, haven't seen him in a long time. Good guy.

Ha ha Lobo !! I'm denying it, I got your back.
