Customer Request: BOLT CARRIER IS STRIKING LOWER CAUSING DAMAGE. HAVING ISSUES CYCLING AMMO WHEN GUN IS SUPPRESSED.

Gunsmith comments. "inspection shows damage to lower receiver from the carrier striking it. suggest replacement.

(my reaction = no shit)

Called Sig - CSR comments; "miscommunication, sales should have contacted you about a replacement, let me check into it and get back to you."

I shipped it to them 8-5.
They received it 8-11.
They shipped it back 8-14, untouched, with only the work order and smith's note. Didn't even have the rifle bagged. Someone screwed up by sending it back.
I even sent a note to the CSR that I was surprised to see the rifle shipped back (received automated UPS notice) without notice form Sig via phone or e-mail.
I received it 8-20 and shipped it right back after calling and then getting notice they need FFL info to ship a replacement.
I pulled all the MagPul furniture and the iron sights. Pulled my QD brake and re-installed the A2 FH. I hope they don't mind it has a $5 PSA buttstock on it and a stock pistol grip from my parts bin.
The new (rev) rifle should be a complete kit, I'm guessing sans the evil 20 rd magazine.

Replacement due in to DangerLeeIndustriesLLC.

Yes, and in my younger impetuous days I would have been very vocal. However, I've learned that I generally get what I want now by being polite, calm, rational, yet firm with my requests.

To Sig's credit, the first guy promptly admitted it was their mistake to ship that rifle back to me and that the smith's note was clear about replacement.

The second guy (original CSR) also apologized in his e-mail requesting the FFL info and the return shipment.

I think I'll make a video tonight of the math involved with making a pre-determination of what bullets will work with which chambers. It shouldn't take long, but the process can be kinda fickle, actually.
