    then I had sunflowers growing in the grass from the seeds. The neighborhood cat used them as cover and ate birds all the time.

    Like most kids, I went through the froglube stage. Made a hell of a mess out of everything. Since then, I've grown up and decided to use Mobile 1 synthetic on all my guns. Think about it: Mobile 1 is specifically engineered to withstand high and low temperatures at extreme pressures for long periods of time. I can't imagine why it wouldn't work well in guns. Also, a quart of it will last me a lifetime and costs less than a tube of froglube, which will inevitably end up in the trash anyway.
