I can honestly say the gob workers have it made with benies and pension but that old adage of "good enough for gov work" was absolute correct. The thing that gets me is the entitlement issues, that and most walk down the halls and won't acknowledge you at all, even holding the damn door for them!

We were moving 2 racks of research results through the bio-labs. Asked a "researcher" if they could hold the doors while we moved them. After getting out of the clean room, a supervisor was waiting for us. She admonished us for having the nerve to interrupt one of her staff to assist with menial things.
Told her i was sorry. Next time there was a decon don't ask me to "wait till her staff was done" since delaying my schedule not only slowed us down. But the entire dept who was also on a schedule.
