Had a drunk driver wipe out a traffic signal control cabinet in Commerce City yesterday morning. While we were fixing damage and replacing the un-salvageable cabinet, got to witness a bumb ass motorcyclist try to haul ass through the dark signals and rear end a car that was following the law, treating the dark signalized intersection as a four-way stop.
The biker got torn up pretty bad. He was alive but was in serious condition, of course he was not wearing a helmet.

" If the trafffic signal is not operating or is malfunctioning, treat the intersection as a four-way stop (C.R.S. 42-4-612 [1])."
My T.P. wheeling and dealing feedback is here.

Busy weekend, softball scramble meant a nice trip to Greeley, took the side roads as 25 was a zoo.
Finished the brake fluid changes on all 3 cars. Got to say the pressurized setup is the bomb! The pump open/close and refill not so much fun. But did not want to make caps for the Toy cars so pump and fill it was. Now just need to get the abs activated and check for more crud. Then I get to a bunch of fluid changes, 2x brake jobs, some new batteries, new tires and probably rims, sparkplugs on the 4 banger, and a bunch of small crap that will take a lot of time.
All 3 cars are getting to 100k or so. Need to decide which to keep and which to let go.

Really doesn't matter what the odometer says anymore. Since the Great Uniter's Cash for Clunkers, any used pass emmissions (as neded) running vehicle brings a good price.

    Good to know.
The 2011 Sienna might go. Great for road trips, but man I am getting tired of the "Toyota Quality" on that one. Tires every 20k, front brakes every 25k, alignments, sqeaks, etc. Ironically the Toy Yaris is just oil changes, battery, and one set of tires in the last 100k. So we have 2x Toy cars and I have completely different feelings about them.
    Go figure.
Son will get permit next month, and is pondering what car he wants, he may just get the Yaris unless he wants to buy his own beater.
Like I PMed you a while back, I am just hemoraging money this year. Maybe an AR pistol next year.

Yeah, the hemorrhaging money thing is a bummer. I know that in my case some of it is my own doing, but not all of it. Funny how you seem to get up, only to have to blow it on something you weren't counting on or expecting. Or you do eventually do something for yourself that drains it a bit, like a trip or two....or buying something a little bit selfish.

I might get banned tonight, so I just wanted to make sure that those of you who actually do read in this thread understand that I really do appreciate a great many of you. I miss a lot of folks that used to post here, it's a long list.

There are many still active on the board that don't post here anymore, why...I dunno. Still like 'em though.

If I can still post on the board, I'll not engage in any political discussions in any manner in the future. Hell, I dunno if anyone wants me posting here at all but I know I met some really cool folks from here in person as well as just in written word.
