    Always preferred my chicken fried steaks to have white gravy on it, or dry with plenty of mashed taters and brown gravy on the side. The green chili thing never really seemed very appetizing to me for that application.

    Both. Country gravy for meat and half the fried taters, chile for eggs and other half taters. Mop it all up with biscuits.
