    Well, right now I'm looking out my dorm window at the 100m solar telescope that goes another 200m down into the ground. So, they probably look at the sun...

    And only 100 miles away from me is the VLA (ya know, that giant Y shaped radio dish array that what's her face sat in front of listening to with headphones in the movie Contact...

    But MY telescope looks at, well the instrument that we're observing with for tonight and tomorrow, is looking at the center of the Milky Way galaxy through the dust lane in IR.

    Nah, I will NEVER got back to a russian. Dated one of those in college for 1.8yrs, worst 2 years of my life. Batshit crazy (though in bed that was AWESOME!) but most of the time it wasn't worth it.
