My dog will be no more than two feet away from me when I'm at home. She's trained to stay close to me.

Makes sense to me since min pins and dachshunds are close relatives. I'm afraid mine will become a trip hazard when she's no longer spry enough to avoid my feet. I can walk up and down the stairs for an hour just to mess with her, and she will follow me every time.
