I always thought I wanted some super awesome handguards and stuff (Larue, Noveske, etc) but after researching a bunch, I found the Troy Alpha is a great rail, low cost and very lightweight. Don't have one yet, because I got gun ADD and stopped building my 2nd AR so I could buy a bigboy rifle instead.

Speaking of lightweight. I just picked up Carbon Feather HG http://www.carbonarms.us/Carbon-Feather-Handguards/ for the wifes SBR. Goal is to have a 4 lb AR.

on the HG or complete rifle.?

CavArms carbine lower, Stag LH upper, pulling the factory 16" M4 and installing a 10.5 one. the 10.5 was / is a HB profile i'm turning down to .625 except where the gas block sits. MTAC 1-4 glass, on 30mm pepr mount.

The Happy switch (JK) that one's a future, future, project.
