I can hit a sheet of paper about 80% of the time with my G19 from 50yds while standing. It took me several thousand rounds and more than 5 years of practice to achieve this. I don't know what your measure of a "decent" group is, but if someone is having difficulty hitting a sheet of paper at "defensive distances" while at the range, I don't want them anywhere near me while they are carrying.

    ...just my braggy $.02

How long was your range shut down Belly after the stupid kid?

Other than that, did you have a fun and productive range trip?

Agreed. During my 2yr state mandated refresher course (don't get me started), my CCW instructor had me start shooting at 50yds (well, it was closer to 45yds but still) and I was amazed at how well I could shoot. They were mostly within a 6" circle, but hitting the left shoulder when I was aiming for the head.

When I can't do that at 10yds, something weird is going on.

eta: Probably closer to 8", didn't have a tape measure but 6" sounds pretty small and I'm not THAT good of a shooter

Getting very lazy. Went to the range earlier, every pistol lane and all general purpose lanes were used. So we left and went to the coffee shop to get some drinks and wait, then we went back and got a GP lane. When we got home, we took dogs on their walks, dinner, and the lots of relaxing.

You? Any exploring in the X?

I think we're going to try to make it to the range tomorrow to shoot some steel and get some fresh air. We spend way too much time indoors.

I just got the X back from getting the tow package put on it along with getting the windows tinted and a clear bra put on it. Now it's ready to rock.

according to the add video button, I should be able to embed a Facebook video, but I can't figure it out...

Awesome, range time is fun! I'd like to get back there again this week but it might be tough with my schedule the next few weeks.

And nice goodies for the X!

Half hour shutdown. Just long enough for that guy to clear the property.

i have video. I've asked a mod to check one of them over before I post it. VERY productive day. 150 rounds of kneeling with a sling.
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

Yeah, I need to find somewhere new to go offroading that is somewhere relatively close.
