    First pic was taken this afternoon a few hours after starting

    Second pic was taken from the observatory around 8pm when the sun was setting. Those four lines in the front are the rails next to the telescope. Scary stuff indeed!

    Thanks Mazin, I'm about 2000ft below the fire and 35 miles away. It's just the observatory I work at that is potentially in danger if the winds pick up.
