We've actually been talking retirement in here the last few days (which has been pissing everyone else off). Mr goal is to be able to retire in ten years, and I'm basically starting at zero right now. Check out www.MrMoneyMustache.com if early retirement is something that might interest you.
Thanks for the heads up. We need to our bills paid off, start rolling up our debt before I can think about retirement.

That is always step number one. There are many other early retirement blogs if that is not your style, but most of them shout out to Mr Money Mustache for providing them the motivation to change their mind set.

I'll read up on it. It's one of those things that we've failed to take seriously but turning 30 has made me realize that we really don't have that long to get our crap together before time runs out.

So here goes. The wife wants the bathroom shower shower tiled. Generally speaking what the wife wants, the wife gets. She puts out the bat signal that we need someone to do tile and an acquaintances relative volunteers. Guy comes out gives an estimate. Bails on us 6 times in a row. Finally shows up to do the work, over charges her from what he originally estimated. Then tries to make my wife feel bad over the amount that he estimated the work. Does the shittiest tile job I have ever seen in my life. Aaaand skips town. So anyone know a good tile guy? Or does anyone want to help me track down a Mexican guy named José and turn him into a human piñata? Either way I would appreciate it.

Tough lesson. Bmac on here is a contractor and says he has a great tile guy. Pretty sure a few members have had work done by him as well.

At least I got a good workout in before going to work. See you fellas on the flip side.

I've never been able to. I'm very much a night person. Probably 90% of all the miles I've run over the years have been after dark.

Ray, with a future son-in-law, and future daughter-in-law, are you just letting two strangers marry into the family?
