Yeah, maintaining good eating and workout habits are the most helpful thing for me when working nights.

Looks like I woke up 5 pages behind. I forgot to mention that I had a helpful hint for your work situation. Right before you leave for work, open up all the new posts and print them out. Then you'll have plenty of reading material for your shift!

Northfield BassPro is on lock down. They were robbed at night and they broke into the gun area and stole a bunch of "assault" rifles.

One trick to long hours it trying to get 15-20 minutes rest periods. Even if you don't close your eyes. Having the ability to just stop everything for 15 minutes makes a difference.

There was this show "Eco Challenge" ?? some years ago. It's one of those go from here - here in X time

1 year a Ranger team entered. They figured "their endurance and experience" would put them on top. Not so lucky. Seems their "idea" was to burn 24/7 till they completed the course.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eco-Challenge

After the race their spokesperson said. In hindsight, they should have taken short 15-20 min rest intervals like everyone else was doing. Instead they ran out of steam day 2ish.
It's interesting they "thought" since they were military trained. Their experience in all sorts of environments would smoke the competitors. Turns out Team (whatever) made up of some researchers who DID REST walked away, while team Ranger was falling by the wayside.

I practice short rest periods 24/7. it's the only way to get by.
